Silver Summit has been in operation for over 30 years. Started by a small group of people that recognized the need for a large ski area in Alberta that was away from the National Parks. Along came Silver Summit. With great elevation, over a thousand foot vertical drop, a north east exposure and over 10 feet of snow on average annually. Together it creates excellent conditions from early December to late April. Making Silver Summit a favorite destination for many.
With our 17,000 sq ft lodge. that houses 22 hostel style rooms sleeping up to 8. Central washrooms and showers and full service cafeteria and lounge. Silver Summit can accommodate a large amount of people while charging minimal prices.
The remote yet close to Edson location allows the area to offer a wide variety of options for winter enthusiasts. Silver Summit is a central location on an immense snow machine trail network that links up with Edson, Silver Summit and Fox Creek. Adding to that the 24km of cross country ski trails and you have a place that fits almost everyone's lifestyle.
Come see our fun and friendly staff. Stay for a night or two. Take a ski or boarding lesson from our smiling instructors. Sit by one of two beautiful fireplaces to keep toasty warm. Ride the 4000 ft chair to one of two unload stations for great skiing and boarding and take in some breath taking scenery. Pump up your cardio in the freshest air on the cross country skis. Ride the trails on your snow machine and come back to a warm and friendly atmosphere for fuel, food or just a smile from one of our staff.
