For those who aren't familiar with the story, Ryan was a former employee and frequent park competitor, as well as a friend to many people here at the mountain. He passed away during the Fall of 2004 in Colorado due to a head injury sustained while snowboarding. His family wishes to continue to get the word out about safety and helmet usage, and we here at Liberty give our full support: Sunday the 25th of January marks our 4th Annual Memorial Rail Jam.
A raffle to win a helmet of your choice from Liberty Mountain Sports Shop will be at the Chalet at the base of Vertigo Terrain Park. The family will be here supporting the event and the cause. All competitors in the event will get a "Safe Riding for Ryan" bandana & sticker for participating. The event will be run in an open jam format for an hour and a half depending on number of participants, and cash & prizes will be awarded to top riders. Music will be provided in the park during the event. We hope you can come support the event, the family, and the cause! Email events@skiliberty.com if you have any questions.
