Winter Season Fly Fishing
Alpine River Outfitters offers fly fishing trips year round. Yes, you can fly fish in the winter and the fishing is excellent! Exciting winter locations to wade and float fish within a short drive from Vail and Beaver Creek. They provide all the necessary equipment and get you out on the water for one of the most memorable and scenic experience you will have while visiting the Vail Valley. Beginners and experts alike!

Wade/ Walk Trip: Minutes west of Vail and Beaver Creek flow some of Colorado's finest trout waters. With thousands of fish per mile, wade trips afford the opportunity for any angler to leisurely cruise the banks dissecting each pool and riffle.

Float Trip: Float fishing offers extensive coverage of remote sections of the river. Anglers may fish from the boat and wade secret pools and riffles along the way. Permitted to float the Eagle, Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers. Exclusive, private boat ramp on the Colorado, which allows float sections not easily accessed by other outfitters.\

Private Water Trip: Proud to offer access to the largest selection of private water in the region. Choose from remote stretches on a number of local streams and rivers or select to fish small mountainstreams or spring-fed ponds. Private boat access points on both the Eagle and Colorado Rivers provide excellent dry fly float fishing.

Overnight Trip: Exclusive fishing and camping access enables an overnight experience matched by no other. These two day, one night excursions provide the ultimate opportunity to see Colorado's breathtaking and remote scenery. An accomplished chef will prepare exquisite streamside cuisine, allowing you and your guide extended fishing time. These once in a lifetime adventures are not to be missed.

Fly Fishing School: This one day school is designed for the novice angler. The morning is spent in a comfotable riverside setting learning casting, knot tying, entomology, and other basic skills. The afternoon is spent on the water practicing your newly acquired skills while fishing for wild trout.
Womens Clinic: A Vail original, this instructional clininc teaches the fundamentals of fly fishing in a relaxed and scenic environment. Your classroom is the private Gorsuch Lake Creek Ranch. Come alone or with a friend and unlock the secrets of fly fishing.
