  • Snowboard Clinics
    Our 1-day camps specialize in helping develop skills and techniques needed to tackle any mountain and all terrain aspects. This is a fun paced camp with your comfort and ability in mind. Our coaches will work to improve your overall riding with focusing on stance, body alignment and the curial mental game of progression snowboarding. Demo equipment will be available as well as special pricing on equipment packages through Kirkwood Mountain Sports.

    Our 2-day co-ed camps specialize in helping develop skills and techniques needed to tackle any mountain and all terrain aspects. Spend 2 days training with our coaches working to improve your overall riding, with focus on stance, body alignment and the crucial mental game for progression snowboarding. Equipment analysis and custom boot fitting done by our professionals at Kirkwood Mountain Sports. Demo equipment will be available as well as special pricing on equipment packages through Kirkwood Mountain Sports.


  • Steeps One Day Clinic

    Successful steep skiing and riding involves two things, skills and confidence. Certified guides offer tips on finding the right line, having a backup plan, how to read a slope, steep skiing/riding and terrain selection. Participants learn to take on Kirkwood's legendary terrain with free flowing style and grace. Open to strong intermediate through expert level skiers and riders only.

    Clinics start at 9:30am sharp and are 5 1/2 to 6 hours long. Clinics include lunch and video analysis (weather permitting). Minimum of 6 and maximum of 24 participants.

    Dates: December 30, 2006, January 3, 2007, February 3, 2007, March 3, 2007 and April 7, 2007.

    Cost is $125 for passholders; $155 includes all day lift ticket.


  • Steeps Two Day Clinic

    This is a great clinic for strong intermediate through expert skiers and riders who are looking for added poise in the steeps or the control to ski and ride with complete confidence. Our Expedition Guides use the unique terrain of Kirkwood to reinforce basic principles and add sophisticated techniques needed to master technical terrain.

    Participants are grouped according to ability levels, promoting camaraderie among participants and assurance that everyone is ready for similar techniques and terrain. Our guides lead participants into some of the best terrain Kirkwood has to offer, and provide useful tips and techniques to tackle any mountain condition. Safe terrain travel, slope safety and mountain etiquette are covered along the way.

    Clinic meets at 9:30am sharp each day and is 5 1/2 to 6 hours long. Clinic includes goodie grab bag, lunch and video analysis

    (weather permitting); wine tasting, trunk show and film fest follow the Saturday session, along with huge raffle featuring prizes fro Burton, Rossignol, Nordica, Marmot, DaKine, Anon, Red and more. Open to intermediate thorough expert skiers and riders. Minimum of 6 and maximum of 24 participants.

  • All Mountain One Day Telemark Clinic

    Kirkwood is long known as a favorite among the telemark community; in addition to big, wide open bowls, the mountain offers plenty of harder to reach stashes that free-heelers are perfectly equipped to pursue. Telemark skiing requires unique skills; these clinics teach the techniques and tactics needed for progression and offer individuals the opportunity to free their heel and discover the freedom it allows them to explore and the world beyond. Learn basic techniques as well as more advanced skills, such as backcountry techniques, steeps and bumps.

    Groups are determined according to ability levels and current conditions. Whether you're at a level to work on gaining proficiency off-piste or ready to focus on mastering the terrain that makes Kirkwood so famous, this is a great way to increase your telemark skills.

    Clinics start at 9:00am sharp and are 5 1/2 to 6 hours long. Clinics include lunch and video analysis (weather permitting). Minimum of 6 and a maximum of 24 participants.


  • All Mountain Skills Clinic

    Not sure how to handle what's on the mountain today? Wishing you had a little more skill skiing or riding powder, wind buff, spring snow, or whatever else awaits you on the day you arrive? These two hour, hard charging clinics are terrific for people wanting to brush up or learn to master the skills needed to handle the conditions of the day.

    Clinics will focus on the conditions of the day. Our guides lead by example and use the chairlift for instructional time. Don't be intimidated by what lies in front of you; in just two hours you will learn the skills needed to make the rest of your day on the snow much more enjoyable.

    Dates: Weekends and Holidays; 11:00am

    Cost: $50 per person; two hour clinic.


  • One Day Co-ed Burton Snowboard Clinic

    Kirkwood and Burton have teamed up to offer you the best way to quickly develop your riding. Our one day snowboard clinics specialize in helping riders develop the skills and techniques needed to tackle any mountain and all terrain aspects, and are designed with each individual's comfort level in mind. Each group will be organized to meet individuals' needs and interests.

    Our guides will teach you to improve your overall riding with a focus on stance and body alignment, efficient muscle usage and the crucial mental game of progressive snowboarding.

Join Kirkwood's top female guides as they share their secrets to all mountain skiing and success

    One day clinics focus on skill development; providing participants with tools to overcome a variety to terrain and snow conditions, as well as tips for terrain selection, finding the best line and off-piste skiing etiquette. Each group will tackle terrain based on ability levels and snow conditions.

    Whether you're a Kirkwood veteran or new to our incredible terrain, learn to master steeps, negotiate trees, navigate chutes and bury your body in powder in a positive, fun safe learning environment.

    Women specific gear available for complimentary demo, along with special pricing on the purchase of women-specific equipment for all participants.

We are unconcerned with competition, and the clinic runs at an individual non-pressurized pace.
